How we get a clean result
Before anything is set, we check the wall for plumb and flatness, because tile will exaggerate a wavy surface. We add backer board or skim coat as needed, then dry-fit the pattern so cuts fall in balanced spots, such as centered behind a range.

Wall Tiles — your questions answered

Yes. Every shower we tile gets a complete waterproofing system behind the tile, a properly sloped base, and a sealed pan. We will not tile a shower without it.
For dry backsplash areas away from sinks, usually yes. For showers and other wet walls, we take out the drywall and put in cement backer board or a foam backer system.
We bring grout samples to your home so you can pick against your actual tile. Tone-on-tone grout softens the lines, while contrasting grout can look sharp with subway tile. Financing is available through our financing page for larger remodels.
