Hardwood in Minnetonka's architecture
From mid-century modern to contemporary lake homes, large glass areas and open kitchens expose floors to light and long sightlines. Plank width, species, and stain tone should complement that, and we guide the choice with large samples.
Sunlight and seasonal change
Strong sun through big windows can shift wood color over time, and winter heating dries the air. We discuss species behavior, finish sheen, and rugs, and we acclimate everything properly before install.
Solid, engineered, and wide plank
Wide plank engineered products are stable over radiant heat and slab, while solid boards suit upper levels. Our real solid hardwood and engineered hardwood pages show differences.
What hardwood costs in Minnetonka
In the Twin Cities, hardwood installed commonly runs $10-18 per square foot for quality wide-plank and engineered products, with refinishing around $4-7. Stairs, pattern layouts, and custom stains increase the price, and we provide a firm written total.
